Last week I happened upon this sight in my bathroom. Ryland knew he was in trouble but after i started taking pictures of him he started to loosen up as you can see... turd!

so many fun things to do here with a park, trails, a lake fully equipped with canoes, row boats, paddle boats, rope swings...
~about the bike helmet~ i guess he didn't want to take it off after riding his bike down to the lake.
Wakely has already asked if we could go back soon. These pictures are courteous of our friends the Angell's.
I am surprised by the enjoyment I have received from growing our own garden. This year we grew zucchini, a few diff. kinds of cucumbers, peas, tomatoes, peppers, basil, pumpkins, strawberries, and raspberries. Our neighbors have a blackberry bush growing over our fence so we will enjoy that here soon as well. Next year we might add lettuce and a few other things.
The boys are pretty patient with me when it is time to cut their hair. The usually get to watch cartoons and then if they have sat still enough for me to finish they get a treat. I figure we will save a good chunk of change with me learning how to cut their hair from the get-go. I can proudly say that no one has cut their hair but me (not to say it has always looked professional :o)

If I had my child to raise all over again,
I'd build self esteem first, and the house later.
I'd fingerpaint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I would care to know less and know to care more.
I'd take more hikes and fly more kites.
I'd stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I'd do more hugging and less tugging.
I'd see the oak tree in the acorn more often.
I would be firm less often, and affirm much more.
I'd model less about the love of power,
And more about the power of love.
