memorial wknd with friends

Our friends, the Angell's, had us over for a bbq and afterward we all ended up heading to the lake since the weather was so nice. It was a great time, with yummy fajitas cooked on the grill, amazing desserts, good friends and boating.

Trina (ah hmm, Tina) stopped by & graciously let us take turns seeing who would look good as a blond! we sure do like it when she shows up- she is the life of the party i tell ya ;o)

ah brody?? peek~a~boo!tina and i finally talked maria (we wouldn't let sara as she was due any minute :o) into coming out on the tube with us ~ like we're ole pro's - ha! so glad she did cuz it was a blast!i really think that jeff wanted to see if he could take us off! nice try but no way - we will pull all the stops (and muscles) before letting that happen!joe & ryland ended up staying back at the house instead of going boating but here is a cute pic of them from another day on the lake...

rocky beach - looooow tide

It was record low tides this day, so Joe took the kids & a friend to the beach for some exploring. The kids had a blast.

This beach is about 15 minutes from our house. The boys were catching a bit of everything: fish, eels, crabs, sea cucumbers, small & large starfish, sea worms, shrimp, and who knows what else. As a result we have a katrillion pics to share...

i'm still here

it seems i have dropped off the blogging world the past month but will try and get caught up soon. i have some posts that i have started and just need to finish as well as recent things. to remind myself, i need to post about our seemingly never ending remodeling project(s), our trip to Sequim's Olympic Game Park, Easter, a lovely little vacation to Hawaii with my big sis and also joe and the kid's outings to 'salamander swamp'. Oh yeah, i can't forget that our good friends finally bit the bullet and bought a boat ~ something they have wanted for sometime ~ and so we should have pics to post being out on the lake (just hope the weather warms up soon so we can actually get in the water next time).

I guess it was time but to be honest... I could have left bridger's a bit longer. my friends & I couldn't seem to get enough of the curls.

Aloha ʻOe

My sister 'L' and I were able to go on a little getaway and we decided on Oahu this time ~ as imagined, we had a great time. (thanks joe for being such a good sport and letting me take off for a few days)

We stayed at Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club Resort which was about 20 minutes from Waikiki. It was just nice to be away from all the hubub.

beautiful view from our room ~ you can kinda catch a glimpse of the trail that we would run every morning. it goes right along side the water and we really just enjoyed that before tending to the much needed r 'n' r.

I wish i was ending with that great sunset but i just have to show the picture i took of the nasty foot of the guy that sat directly behind L on the flight home. It wasn't like he was a giant but he acted like one with his foot actually touching L's leg and his hand was even laying across her arm rest. I tried gettng a picture of that but he moved it right before (I think he saw what i was trying to do). yu-uck!side note: this is actually being posted close to 04:05:06 07/08/09
