summertime summertime sumsum summertime...

I guess we have been having so much fun recently that i forgot to blog. ;o) Hopefully I can do a little catch up. We went camping with our ward to Zion's Ranch, were lucky enough to be invited to the lake a few times with friends, had swim lessons, neighbor's baptisms, gardening, survived haircuts, enjoyed bbq's...

just thought i would throw in these pics of our crazy 1/2 Canuck at his best - what a crack up!

Zion's Ranch - Belfair, Wa
so many fun things to do here with a park, trails, a lake fully equipped with canoes, row boats, paddle boats, rope swings...

~about the bike helmet~ i guess he didn't want to take it off after riding his bike down to the lake.
Wakely has already asked if we could go back soon. These pictures are courteous of our friends the Angell's.

I am surprised by the enjoyment I have received from growing our own garden. This year we grew zucchini, a few diff. kinds of cucumbers, peas, tomatoes, peppers, basil, pumpkins, strawberries, and raspberries. Our neighbors have a blackberry bush growing over our fence so we will enjoy that here soon as well. Next year we might add lettuce and a few other things.

We have some great neighbors just across from us who we have become good friends with. Both JD and his wife Myrna were baptized recently. What a blessing that has been. The kids really enjoy JD and I happen to think he feels the same about them.

The boys are pretty patient with me when it is time to cut their hair. The usually get to watch cartoons and then if they have sat still enough for me to finish they get a treat. I figure we will save a good chunk of change with me learning how to cut their hair from the get-go. I can proudly say that no one has cut their hair but me (not to say it has always looked professional :o)

Possibly to come ~ pictures of us at the lake

The kids swim lessons went pretty good. Wakely and Bridger had a semi-private lesson and Ryland went in to the tiny tots class (only one other boy was in his class but that boy was not a happy swimmer to say the least). Thursday was Ryland's last day and all eyes were on him while he went off the diving board all by himself - with his teacher underway to catch him, of course. I was so sad that I had forgotten our camera.

rare treat

The other night we were lucky enough to have the cutest little girl named kylee over while her parents went to the temple.
Wakely wasn't asleep yet so Joe had him come out and visit with Kylee and it was too cute watching him with her. He pretty much took over the whole gig and made me so proud. She was dancing, knocking over his blocks, handing him legos, letting him read to her and even let him put her to sleep.

ahhhh too sweet

Wakely enjoyed it so much he asked when her mom would let her come over again.

fun with angell's

About a week or so ago friends Jonathan, Julia & Alaina Angell came over for some backyard fun and as you can see - they had a good time on the trampoline. (even to the point that alaina took a nap which she rarely does). we sure love summertime!

~off to the beach~

my guys
Joe has been so great with taking the kids to the beach lately. He gets on the scoot and scouts out new ones - which I think is just as enjoyable. I think that we have gone more in the past month than in the 2 years we have lived here. anyway...

we enjoyed taking my mom while she was here helping out last week

this is in case you weren't aware of the correct position you take while scouring the beach

and these are the faces you make

after you find one of these little rascals

unless he pinches your poor little finger... then you make this face

give me a pose wakely

have a happy 4th of july wknd everyone!

wish you were here!
