vacation to utah

I took way too many pictures on our trip so i figured the best way to blog them might be to do slide shows for all the different things we ended up doing ~ you can't say we didn't have fun!

One of the first things the kids did while we were there was go to the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum with both of their grandmas, their aunt bean and cousin kaden.

We were lucky enough to have the kids get a few swim lessons at grandma LaKay's pool. Miss Tawnee did a great job with them.

Grandpa Scott was a trooper and even got in with them a few times during free swim. I think that if you look close enough you will notice who was the first to do the noodle trick (aiming the noodle and blowing water threw them) and who was probably regretting that decision by the end!

We were able to enjoy spending some time with Joe's brother Jeff & his adorable family. We spent a day at a place called Boondocks. This included Go-Karts - even for Rookie's, Bumper Boats, Miniature Golf, Laser Tag, Kiddie Cove... you name it we did it. I wasn't joking when I said I took way too many pictures.

I am not sure if you will be able to pick out the "threat" on the water squirting bumper boats... so i will give you a hint - he's wearing a gray shirt!

I am going to be one happy camper when blogging this is over! phew!

Aunt L took our boys and cousin kaden to the "jumpy place"...

The last thing we did was go to Raging Waters - it was so good to get to see our sis-in-law erin there as well!

yeahhhhh - back to the day to day bloggin'!!!

wakely's 1st day ~2nd grade~

My little boy is going into the 2nd grade!
I had to hurry and get a few shots of wakely before he left this morning and this is about all i could get... can you tell he was not in the mood for pictures? it was like come on mom, enough already!

summertime summertime sumsum summertime...

I guess we have been having so much fun recently that i forgot to blog. ;o) Hopefully I can do a little catch up. We went camping with our ward to Zion's Ranch, were lucky enough to be invited to the lake a few times with friends, had swim lessons, neighbor's baptisms, gardening, survived haircuts, enjoyed bbq's...

just thought i would throw in these pics of our crazy 1/2 Canuck at his best - what a crack up!

Zion's Ranch - Belfair, Wa
so many fun things to do here with a park, trails, a lake fully equipped with canoes, row boats, paddle boats, rope swings...

~about the bike helmet~ i guess he didn't want to take it off after riding his bike down to the lake.
Wakely has already asked if we could go back soon. These pictures are courteous of our friends the Angell's.

I am surprised by the enjoyment I have received from growing our own garden. This year we grew zucchini, a few diff. kinds of cucumbers, peas, tomatoes, peppers, basil, pumpkins, strawberries, and raspberries. Our neighbors have a blackberry bush growing over our fence so we will enjoy that here soon as well. Next year we might add lettuce and a few other things.

We have some great neighbors just across from us who we have become good friends with. Both JD and his wife Myrna were baptized recently. What a blessing that has been. The kids really enjoy JD and I happen to think he feels the same about them.

The boys are pretty patient with me when it is time to cut their hair. The usually get to watch cartoons and then if they have sat still enough for me to finish they get a treat. I figure we will save a good chunk of change with me learning how to cut their hair from the get-go. I can proudly say that no one has cut their hair but me (not to say it has always looked professional :o)

Possibly to come ~ pictures of us at the lake

The kids swim lessons went pretty good. Wakely and Bridger had a semi-private lesson and Ryland went in to the tiny tots class (only one other boy was in his class but that boy was not a happy swimmer to say the least). Thursday was Ryland's last day and all eyes were on him while he went off the diving board all by himself - with his teacher underway to catch him, of course. I was so sad that I had forgotten our camera.
